The Great NYC Pastime: Booze Brunches

The Great NYC Pastime: Booze Brunches

There’s no better way to spend a beautiful Sunday afternoon than balls deep in free-flowing booze at brunch. Add in some food and a group of 3-6 (any more and good luck with that split-the-bill nightmare) and you have my favorite NYC pastime.

Here are a few of my tried and true spots for a boozy brunch:

My sister discovered Zengos in my last week in NY, which is a bummer because I absolutely loved it. With all you can drink booze and all you can eat tapas (for $45) this place won me over. We tried just about everything on the menu and had zero complaints. They also offer a greater variety of drinks than most booze brunches, including margaritas, flavored mimosas, sake sangria, bloody marys and marias!

I love FONDA because of the options - $35 includes all you can drink bloodys, rosalitas, margaritas, mimosas and beer (plus an entrée)! Beer is the big one here since that is a rarity for bottomless. Get your Mexican fix and a jumpstart on your day drinking at this festive spot.

If you’ve been to Il Bastardo chances are you either really really loved it, or will never go back. I’ve been here more than I care to admit, but it really is a fun CLUB brunch. If you are looking for a party experience in the middle of the day where the music is blaring, you have individual bottles of champagne and people dancing on tables, then this is the place for you. Great for bigger groups and parties. Request the back room if you want the full experience.

At $50 per person this is a more expensive brunch option, but it is also a fancier environment than the others. Maya offers unlimited small plates, which makes it ideal for groups to mix it up and try everything on the menu. Great for when you have people visiting and don’t want a brunch that gets too rowdy.

This spot is ideal for small groups since it is a tiny little restaurant that can get pretty packed over the weekend. It’s $30 for bottomless booze brunch with an entrée. You can choose bloody mary’s or mimosas and enjoy any of the delicious meals. Although the menu is pretty limited, my friends and I loved our entrees.  The drinks here aren't very strong so this is a good place for actual adults who can't be drunk midday.
